Storyline

When Miles receives instructions from Dr. Chang to dispose of a dead Dharma worker's body, Miles and Hurley learn more about what the Dharma Initiative is constructing in a remote part of the jungle, and what Miles' connection is to Dr. Chang. More of Miles' background story is shown about his upbringing and ability to communicate with the dead. Meanwhile, Kate arouses Roger's suspicion to his son's disappearance, and Phil discovers that Sawyer/Phil was responsible for abducting Ben and delivering him to the Others/Hostiles. Trivia

When little Miles hears the dead man talking to him at the apartment building he goes to room 4. When he picks up the bunny to get the key there is a swirl on the bunny's ear in the shape of an 8. 4 and 8 are the first of the island's "numbers". See more »

Goofs

Hurley claims that Luke overreacted when he found out Darth Vader was his father and got his hand chopped off. If he had really seen Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back 200 times he would know that it is only *after* Vader cuts off Luke's hand does he reveal that he is his father. See more »

Quotes

Hugo 'Hurley' Reyes: [to Miles] In "Empire", Luke found out Vader was his father, but instead of putting away his lightsaber and talking about it, he overreacted and got his hand cut off. I mean, they worked it out eventually, but at what cost? Another Death Star was destroyed, Boba Fett got eaten by the Sarlacc, and we got the Ewoks. It all could've been avoided if they just, you know, communicated. And let's face it, the Ewoks sucked, dude.

Back to best
19 April 2009 | by (Nuneaton, England) – See all my reviews

I thought this was the best episode in a while in the new series of Lost. I have followed this programme religiously and to say that I have been disheartened by most of the episodes is an understatement! However, this episode has changed my mind.

It follows Miles and his life and some very interesting twists involving him and an original member of the islands Dharma initiative.

This episode is quite a deep and emotional episode and is done relatively well. It comes as a nice surprise and even though there is no action it in no way detracts from the watch-ability of the episode.

The episode also sees the return of one favourite character showing their true nature and also the return of a very interesting person My faith in Lost is now back!
