Inspirational Animated Story
12 April 2009 | by (Flower Mound, Texas) – See all my reviews

Really cleaver and inspiring. If you love real stories of faith and overcoming the odds, you'll love this. Koaloha ukuleles are some of the most beautiful sounding and looking instruments, knowing how Alvin Okamy's first ukulele was inspired and made only adds to the beauty of the instrument. The minimalist animation of black and white illustrations only adds to the simple heartfelt faith that Mr Okamy is describing. He's gratitude for how a disconnected series of events and people, come together to change his life.

Though this is an storyboard animatic, it's really told with love and a sense of respect for Mr Okamy. Those who love the ukulele will appreciate this fun approach to one of the heros of the instrument. Animation fans will enjoy the humor and almost Thurber like style of the illustrations. Those who enjoy stories of personal faith with also find it inspiring.
