- In this episode Hood and Young and their new partner investigate the deaths of 30 people due to lightning strikes in a Massachusetts town that is also home to a defense contractor working on various projects for the U.S. Government.
At the beginning of the episode 2 employees of the defense contractor company are struck by lightning in the parking lot during a storm
Hood and Young are notified and upon arrival at the local morgue learn the 30 other people were struck and killed by the lightning on the same night. They also learn that 4 other people were struck and lived. They go and talk with the employee of the defense contractor that survived the lightning strike in the parking lot. The other employee died.
What that learn is that a possible nano-based virus may be affecting the people in the town and can be transmitted by touch. They also learn that another storm is about to strike the town in the next 48 hours. Dr. Hood and Agent Young must locate the source of the virus and find a way to stop it
