This is a cute little film about a strange young lady named Matilda. She appears to be a rather shy and nerdy lady and doesn't talk during the film. Instead, things happen around her and to her and she reacts. A cat comes into her life and then she sees a guy who she is obviously smitten with--yet she is too weird and shy to approach him. Instead, as she's watching TV, she takes ideas from her shows to get him to notice--such as staging an accident or buying a gun to kill a lady who appears to be his girlfriend (this portion is particularly funny). What an odd lady! In the end, she eventually gives up and tries to kill herself...and naturally, she can't even do that right! Clever writing and direction make this a nice little romantic comedy. That Matilda...one strange lady indeed!
