The usual misogyny
Pure Taboo is a series purportedly based on providing naughty or rough sex for the fans, but it generally devolves, as in "Possessive" to poorly conceived vignettes of misogyny. Producer Bree Mills' obvious double-game is to pander to low-end fans while demonstrating in exaggerated form how awful is the male sex.
Journeyman actor and more recently flunky crew member Domenic Kane gets a rare starring role in the title segment, playing a tattooed repo man with no redeeming qualities. I've always considered him to be a poor man's Derrick Pierce, and his tough-guy approach here is merely cliche, not acting.
He barges into Lena Paul's apartment, scooping up electronics and jewelry as she's behind in paying off her loan shark debt. When he grabs her car keys (to a sports car parked outside), matters escalate and she manages to convince him to let her keep her wheels in exchange for sex. After a routine humping scene with the big-bust actress, we get a predictably downbeat ending.
Supporting vignette is titled "Caught Between", a dumb scene about infidelity and mistreatment. Penny Pax is about to have illicit sex with her lover Ryan McLane, when hubby Ricky Johnson arrives home, Ryan hiding in the closet.
Mediocre script and direction has Ricky hump her, rush back to work after getting a phone call, and then Ryan taking sloppy seconds with Penny. No surprise that McLane turns out to be a cad.
