this is a great film by a great writer and up and coming director. i was blown away by how tight the production was. every detail was so thought out. the writing was polished, the direction was inventive, and the performances were great. especially the lead character. the film's score really helped build the tension throughout. i really can't say there's anything i didn't like except for the "big scene" at sea as i was sitting next to a guy on a plane and trying to shield my computer - not knowing what was really going to happen. everything was played out just right, going far enough, but not too far for the sake of cheap visual scare. what i like most is the way they used music to build the tension, rather than relying on showing everything. they allowed the viewers to paint their own picture and fill in the details themselves. that's good film making. giving the viewer credit and letting them put their imagination to work. great work to all those involved. not surprised it's getting picked up at so many festivals.
