Storyline

The comedy segment was Floyd R. Turbo, American talking about the Olympics and immigration. Johnny first asked Ann-Margaret about her name. They then talked about aging and the difference between how men and women are treated, and that the US is more obsessed with age than Europe. They then talked about her recent movies and "The Cheap Detective" which was about to come out. A clip from the film was shown. Robert Mitchum talked about his childhood - his father died when he was two and he had brushes with the law as a child and young man. They then talked about his film "Matilda" and showed a clip. The pseudo-Kangaroo from the film (played by Gary Morgan) came out on stage. Tom Dreesen did a stand-up comedy segment. During a brief interview he discussed how his hometown in Illinois had named a baseball game after him since he appeared on "The Tonight Show". He also said he got work in England because a talent scout saw him on the show. Joseph Sorrentino was the author of "Up from Never... Written by lenab9011
