When the eleven-year-old Samantha Burch vanishes, her foster parents and the police believe she was abducted. Lightman and Foster are hired to investigate the case and they question whether she left home or was kidnapped. They interview her psychologist Dr. Christina Knowlton, but she cannot expose her patient and Detective Don Hughes, who is responsible for the case, believes in abduction. Meanwhile, Ria and Loker are hired by the publisher Diane Ktretschmer to find out whether the Ugandan activist Farida Mugisha has written the truth in her book about her life. Diane has been informed that there are many lies in her biography and a report will expose her when the books are released.
"Do No Harm" is another great episode of "Lie to Me". The plot of the abduction is heartbreaking since Dr. Knowlton if completely deranged with the death of her daughter. The case of the pacifist refugee is also sad, and it is easy to understand the attitude of Farida Mugisha and her good intentions toward her people. My vote is eight.
