Storyline

During the 10 years In the Life has chronicled the growth and evolution of gay and lesbian America, the progress we have made in the workplace has represented one of our community's greatest achievements - one that has largely been won by the thousands who integrate their identities into their professional lives. These everyday heroes clear the way for other gays and lesbians to come out. In honor of the progress our community has made on the job, of those who helped achieve it, and of those who are still fighting for their right to work, In the Life is pleased to present our 10th Anniversary retrospective of gays in the workplace. We focus on a doctor who exposes homophobia as a health hazard, growing pains in the auto industry, correspondent Dan Karslake's report on the battle facing America's gay and lesbian soldiers, and first, an inside look at the world of finance.
