- As the adults race to destroy all clues to the location of Alpha Centauri, the Robinson kids receive an ominous message from SAR.
- While the children on the Jupiter transport try to find a way to safely reunite with their parents and make the trip to Alpha Centauri, the parents realize that the robots are coming and seek to destroy any clues that might lead their enemies to Alpha Centauri.—Gislef
- The children's' ship flies past the devastated planet, and Will tells Grant that they don't know what happened to it. Judy tells Will to make sure the Robot is ready and Penny to check on the kids, then looks at the wrecked Fortuna in orbit. Grant says that they should move on rather than discuss it, and Judy agrees.
Penny finds a flyer for Alpha Centauri, next to one small boy, who apologizes for having it. She tells him that it's okay. Meanwhile, Will plays a recording he made of the tones in the ruins to the Robot, and figures it might be some kind of language. He asks the Robot if it knows what the tones mean, but before the Robot can say anything, Penny comes over and tells Will to finish the job Judy assigned him. Will tells the Robot they'll finish working on their project when they get to Alpha Centauri, and Robot walks away. Robot stops and its lights come on, like in the ruins.
Robot projects a course to another planet, and Vijay spots the other Jupiters and realizes that they belong to their parents. As Will looks on, Robot warns of danger and Will realizes that their parents aren't showing it to them, but SAR is. At its end, SAR snaps the neck of the projecting Scarecrow and the effects are simulated on Robot. Robot recovers and then lowers its head in grief at the "death" of Scarecrow, and Will realizes that Scarecrow is gone. He offers his condolences to Robot, and Robot walks away.
John and Maureen tell the other parents that Scarecrow was trying to help them, and now the other robots know what Scarecrow knew, including their location. The enemy ships are 30 minutes out and approaching, and they can't outrun the ships. John points out that they're not on the Resolute like they were when they held off the robots the last time, and says that they can't save themselves to they have to focus on the people they can save: their children. John warns that SAR will tear the Jupiters apart to learn Alpha Centauri's location, because the kids are heading there with SAR's engine. The parents have to destroy anything that might be a clue to Alpha Centauri. John warns that he'll sacrifice all of them if they have to, if they leave any scraps of info behind.
As the parents destroy any evidence of Alpha Centauri, John looks at a promo video for the planet. Maureen joins him and asks what he thinks of learning the children are still alive, and he says the hardest part was not knowing if they alive. He figures the children will make it to Alpha Centauri even if they don't, and deleted the video.
The older children discuss their next step, and Penny figures they should get their parents. Judy warns that SAR is setting a trap, and reminds her sister that her parents gave them direct order to go to Alpha Centauri. One of the other children-Noah--speaks for all of them, saying that they want to rescue their parents and see them again. Judy tells Noah that and the others that SAR knows that they're coming. The younger children still want to try, and Vijay and the other older children agree.
Later on the bridge, Grant approaches Judy and she tells him that they can't outrun SAR. Her father agrees but says that if they can't outrun the robots, they have to be smarter. Grant says that she's the captain and votes don't matter, and it's her call. He figures whatever she's decides, Grant believes it will be the right one.
Penny talks to Will privately and tells him that he doesn't have to be the only to solve their problem. Judy comes up to her siblings and says that together they can find the solution to the problem facing them. Will tells Judy that he thinks she knows what to do.
Maureen doesn't want to destroy Penny's novel. John tells her that it's okay and leaves their cabin. When the degaussers fail, Don takes a hammer to the drives in a fury. A coworker calms him down, and Don points out that they won't be able to find Alpha Centauri either, and there's no point in giving them hope for a future that will never happen. His coworker says that hope was the point.
Penny approaches Will in his cabin and tells him that everything is ready. She tells him that it's a good plan, and he agrees. Once Penny leaves, Will records a final video message.
John and Maureen meet the Dhars on the bridge and confirm that everything was destroyed. The first robot ship arrives, and Victor tells John that it's been an honor. The parents watch it hover in space outside, and then the kids arrive in their transport Jupiter. John orders the other parents' Jupiters to divert SAR away from the transport. However, Judy calls and belays her father's order, and declares that she's on the Fortuna. She flies the formerly wrecked ship around the nearby sun, and Judy's parents realize that the transport was a decoy and all of the children are onboard the Fortuna. Grant is with Judy, and they dock the Fortuna with Jupiter 2. Penny and the other children are united with their parents, John tells Judy that he gave her command, and what she did with it was up to her.
The transport on autopilot leads SAR's ship off, while Will confirms everyone is off the Fortuna and then comes aboard Jupiter 2. Penny makes all of her family members promise that they'll never separate again, and Don and Judy get all of the families aboard the operative Jupiters.
Grant comes in and Maureen sees him, and he tells her that her kids found him. The crew gets an alert that the alien ship has reached the transport, and Will tells Maureen that Robot is still on the Fortuna trying to detach the engine. Will goes back to the Fortuna, passing technicians moving Smith's pod, and tell them that it stays with them and to put it in the medbay.
In the Fortuna, Will tells Robot that they're staying there, and Robot needs to close the rift once everyone else gets through it. When everyone else gets to Alpha Centauri, they'll still have the engine to follow and SAR will have everything else he wants right there. Then the two of them will put an end to it.
SAR returns to the ring of Jupiters and blasts its way in.
Will wakes Smith up and she realizes she's not at Alpha Centauri. He tells her that he needs her help and leads her off.
The loaded Jupiters go through the rift Robot prepares to close behind them.
Will watches from hiding as Smith meets with the rest of the Robinsons, and Judy explains that Smith stowed away with them. When Will tries to sneak by, Smith keeps Maureen and John distracted. The other robot ships arrive about Jupiter 2, and Maureen tells John that they can't let them through the rift, which is still open. Will transmits the tone from the ruins, which shuts the robots down, and two of their ships collide with each other. The explosions knocks Will down, and John finds him and tells him that they have to go as he leads the teenager off. John calls Robot and tells him to close the rift when they're through, and takes Will to the bridge with the others.
John takes Jupiter 2 through the rift and SAR follows them in its ship, and the other robots join in. He tells Robot send them anywhere else so they don't lead SAR to Alpha Centauri, and Jupiter 2 loses power. Meanwhile, Victor and the others arrive at Alpha Centauri. Naoko reports that Jupiter 2 didn't arrive with them.
Jupiter 2 plunges through the atmosphere of an alien planet, its power gone. John says that they'll have to eject, and John, Will, Penny and Don do. Judy and Maureen's chairs jam, and Jupiter 2 plummets toward the planet's surface.
