Did You Know?

In the opening monologue, Red tells a seagull joke with Heathcliffe minus Gertrude. He also reads a funny letter from a viewer to Geritol (the sponsor). In the first sketch, titled "What Fathers Should Know", Mrs. Appleby tells husband George that he is going to be a daddy, then sends him to a school for expectant fathers, where he creates shambles learning how to hold and diaper an infant. The second sketch, called "It Happened at the Zoo", features a zookeeper entertaining children with a live elephant performing tricks, then dissolves into Freddie the Freeloader asleep inside a cage with two live bears. Once outside, Freddie finds a lost package containing a negligee on a bench and decides to take it back to the department store and claim a refund. Much to his embarrassment, he stumbles into a fashion show with the models displaying negligees. See more »
