Trivia

Red opens the program with a pantomime bridge game between Red and an actress portraying his wife versus another couple called Mr. and Mrs. Jones. Mrs. Jones is extremely attractive causing Red's wife to exhibit jealousy. (This appears to be a precursor to the later henpecked George and shrewish Clara Appleby sketches.) The team of Park and Clifford carry out their act, starting out as a pianist and singer and rotating into an acrobatic performance. Red actually does a serious, stand up Tide commercial instead of his practice of incorporating the sponsor into a skit. The first Skelton Scrapbook, titled "TV Goes Educational" displays Red demonstrating how to care for a new baby. The second Skelton Scrapbook, called "Baby's First Birthday" shows Red as a One-Year Old enjoying his first birthday cake. See more »
