E! Mysteries & Scandals: Buddy Holly (1998)

Jerry Allison, Gary Busey, Peggy Sue Gerron (childhood friend), Travis Holley (brother), Bobby Vee and Waylon Jennings are all interviewed about the tragedy that took the life of Buddy Holly as well as two other musicians.

The legend of Buddy Holly is still strong even today after all these decades and this episode does a very good job at taking a look at Holly's rise to fame and the events that led up to the plane crash that took his life. We get to hear from people who actually knew him, which is really what makes this episode so special. This includes Waylon Jennings who was supposed to have been on the plane but gave up his seat. If you're a fan of Holly or just this series then you'll be treated to a very good episode that also talks about some of the conspiracy theories surrounding the crash.
