Skins is an absolutely brilliant show, and I've always admired the patterning of the episodes. The viewer sees the character first off, gets a general impression, and then sees the character's self-titled episode, and sees all the depth to their lives and families, which is generally unseen from the outside. Before seeing this episode, I was eager to see what depth there was to Cook's character, since he basically seemed like a troublesome ass. After seeing the episode, nothing changed. I still don't understand the character at all; is there a reason Cook is so insane and generally insensitive to his friends? I didn't get anything out of this episode, and I hope eventually the season will answer my many, many questions about him.
