Great stuff

This is one of the films submitted to the 2009 Nickelodeon Animated Short Festival. Unlike some of the films that seem more like art films, this one is definitely for the right audience for this particular competition--kids! Now this does NOT mean parents and other adults might not appreciate it, but that the target clearly was kids--as seen with some juvenile humor (such as butt cracks and farting). Since I am a bit immature myself, I had a very good time watching it and can't wait to see more from the folks who made the film.

TICKLE ME SILLY consists of two characters who are the sheriff and deputy in a strange old West town--strange because it has lots of anachronisms, such as ATM machines! The two consist of a raccoon (the sheriff) and his dim deputy (a warthog) and these and the rest of the creatures are rendered using CGI animation that is somewhat reminiscent of the Happy Tree Friends characters (minus all the violence). While the animation style is simple, it does seem to pop off the screen with a nice 3-D sort of effect and I loved the way it looked. What I also loved were the final credits--you have to see them to know what I mean.

Wonderful stuff!
