Good, just wish there was more!
jaldridge-836989 November 2022
For a world as rich and expansive as the one set up in Zootopia, it's a shame that we only got 6 ten-minute shorts in this TV series. It felt like there could have been much more to develop. However, what was here was at least enjoyable. I think I enjoyed the Godfather episode the best because it provided great backstory for one of the best side-characters in the original film. It is sort of a shame there wasn't more to see of Judy and Nick, although let's hope they save all that for a proper sequel that I'm praying will be announced soon. So, overall, I enjoyed this and it had some very funny moments, but this world created by the original film deserved a little more than an anthology.

LOVELY
MandalBros-526 November 2022
Zootopia+ is a short spin-off series of Disney's Zootopia, one of my favourite animated films. In this series, every episode focuses on different characters who were there in the small part of the film. The thing I liked the most here is the crossover scenes with the movie, loved the smart writing.

All the things were simultaneously happening, it was so good to watch. Another thing I liked here is that every episode is genre specific. Episode 4 is my favourite, others were enjoyable too. Hope to see more of like this in future. I am always ready to watch anything in the world of Zootopia.

Available on Disney+ Hotstar.

Fun to watch, but it's just not enough.
flixusnetwork9 November 2022
Well, we're here. Something has been added to Zootopia's universe after 6 years of silence and that thing is Zootopia+. Whilst one could expect something more grand given the success of the original movie, it could be explained by the possibility of producers having a sequel in works. If there's any Disney movie that needs an actual sequel so badly it's Zootopia.

Zootopia+ managed to wrap up some really unique stories for side characters, gave them more exposure, added their perspective during the original movie's run in the background and perfectly schowcased what each of the characters struggled with. Stories like the Godfather of the Bride is a good example of origins story and struggle in the humble beginnings, while others like Duke: The Musical seems to focus more on entertainment value and character's personality. Stories told more boldly seem to do better than those existing just for the sake of entertainment.

Animation is indistinguishable from the movie, so there's no complain about it. Humor is debatable, but definitely not the worse I've ever seen. Some lines actually managed to crack me up. The whole premise of Z+, on the other hand, seems like it's about just giving some of the side characters more exposure that they lacked in the original movie. Notice how characters that had fairly well explained backstory didn't receive any sort of big appearances. The main characters from the movie have short appearances and even though most of the scenes with them were recycled from the original movie, while camera angle was changed a bit, they still managed to steal the audience and leave them questioning - "Is that it?"

"We need more!" is what I take from this short episodic series. It could work as a bonus between first Zootopia and a sequel before its release, but given the fact that we still need to wait for any sort of announcment, it leaves a bad taste of just being not enough to please the fans. It's enjoyable, sometimes funny, but definitely not enough.

8/10.

Warning: Spoilers
Zootopia fans waited in years for a sequel, and this is the most close we can get to a sequel. In this show we follow various animals on funny adventures from a train chase to do everything to meet your biggest idol. The episodes are only few minutes long, but the detailed CGI animation costs money. Do not come for some Golden Globes stuff here, just some light cartoon fun with your idols from the 2016 movie. Zootopia Plus did not get a big fanfare like newer Disney shows Bluey, so this could be this generations Father of the Pride. There are some out context and some wrong things to do so this show deserves the over 7 censoring.

Last stories less dark and much better than first ones
anathefixer10 November 2022
When I watch first few stories, I was shocked how dark they are and how they showing the world in a crooked mirror , I would say. I mean, seriously, showing kids that stealing is less bad than working as car salesmen or doctor?! ( weasel story) or mafia is better than government because its "like a family"?! (Shrew story). What it teaching the kids?! But last 3 stories less dark and kind of cute, so I still recommend it, just some parental guidance required. Watch them together with kids, you will have fun and if you see something weird, you at least can explain it to kids in a good way. But honestly I'm puzzled why Disney keep making cartoons full of a bad examples, dark and even kind of violent sometimes...

This is the best thing i have watched on Disney+
arielsiere11 November 2022
I watched all the episodes of Zootopia+ and it was great it is based on the 2016 movie Zootopia but this this is better, we meet Tru Tru the opposite of Fru Fru they appear thses dangerous flowers named night howlers, even Nick Wilde and Finnick make a cameo as background characters and it even has a reference to the movie The Godfather of the episode The Godfather Of The Bride about Morty telling an interesting story about his life in Zootopia with his grandma and they also defeated a rhino who fell into an ice factory and even Gazelle makes her appearance for the second time and wow the intro is very creative and the best series i've ever seen along with Cars On The Road.

The most enjoyable mini series that I've ever watched
kasrashahedi16 January 2023
My friend and I watched all the episodes of Zootopia+ and we really had fun. We watched each episode several times and recognized new things and details (which can be secrets!) every time. Although there were some little bugs and illogical events and things, these series made us satisfied and really delighted.

Every episode reminded me good moments that I had while watching Zootopia: The Movie. It is one of the best films I've ever watched and I feel that this mini series is a great and absolutely brilliant way for remembering all those fascinating and wonderful moments that we all had while watching Zootopia. It's a really great choice for watching with your family or friends and have a good time with them.

PERFECTION!
illisia429 November 2022
If you love Zootopia, this is absolute essential viewing!

The animation, soundtrack and voice acting are on-point, and the writing is heartwarming, fun, and hilarious!

I love that these shorts fill-in little bits of plot from the film, it's really great. I'm going to have anew perspective on the movie when I rewatch it :-)

My only issue is that there are only six episodes! Obviously it takes a lot of time, effort and money to make these as high-quality as the film, but all-the-same, when I was done it was a bit like "oh... where's the rest?" which is a real shame. Still, I can see myself watching this multiple times :-)

Highly recommended for established Zootopia fans. Heck, I think random viewers could still enjoy it!

Okay but feels like there's something missing
iliwoops10 November 2022
I don't think it was nesscary to have shorts. I mean, I like that it develops the side characters, but I was thinking the series would be set around what goes on after the original movie. I.e I like how it shows what happened at the wedding while they were talking with the flashback. But it felt like it didnt have as much significance to the story as you think it would if the episodes were long and more connected. Like an actual series with a storyline. There were so many different ways they could have gone about doing the series. I just wish there was more or the episodes were longer in general.

DONT CARE ABOUT KAREN REVIEWS
shmoreira10 November 2022
Dude, not suitable for children? Damn, most people back in my day played GTA and various other violent games and watched stuff like that, now kids won't be able to watch a animation that shows a character stealing and getting away with it? Karen... it's just an animation and a great animation.

Seeing these people saying that is what can make there never be a Zootopia 2, I don't know how they manage to sleep at night depriving children of everything, must be one of those moms who takes the baby to the movies to ruin everyone's experience and thinks that ok, perfect definition for Karen. I hope we get a Zootopia 2 and. Iihope there's a lot of robbery and crimes.

Only one episode really worth watching
jakubpap13 November 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Hopp on Board - 1/10 Not only is it pointless, boring and nonsensical, but it actively detracts from the world. As per the director of Zootopia, Bunnyburrows is about 340 kilometers away from Zootopia and there is a massive body of water separating them. All of which is disregarded in this episode.

The Real Rodents of Little Rodentia - 5/10 Not good, not bad. Just bland, but at least it expands on the world in some minor way and the story has a nice message of love for the family, even if we hate them at times.

Duke the Musical - 6/10 Funny, but pointless unless the character is used again and expanded upon in Zootopia 2. We see he has the potential for change, defying the stereotype, so if we see him do good in the future, this episode can serve as a part of that arc.

The Godfather of the Bride - 10/10 This is what all these episodes are supposed to be like. It has a positive message of loving and serving the community and chaging the world in our own little ways. It exapands meaningfully on the world, showing us how small mammals had to fight for fair treatment, which we know from the movie is still an ongoing fight even if it improved.

So You Think You Can Prance - 5/10 A dream sequence of Clawhauser, same kind of bland nothing as the second episode.

Dinner Rush - 1/10 Aggressively boring. Flash and Priscilla got engaged in a restaurant, great, boring and uninteresting but great. Except they had dinner in the afternoon, before a huge concert for which they had tickets together. Call me crazy but that's something only a madman would do.

Overall, Disney had a golden chance to make this into something worthwile. Put some worldbuilding which fans would appreciate here, something they didn't have the space for in the movie. We could explore the other districts, give more character development to the people we met, show us the Hopps family home, which they wanted to in the movie but had to cut. Instead of all that possibility we got this bland mess of pointless filler, none of which expands beyond the movie, except for that one amazing episode.

This is definitely a worthwhile series that is fun for the entire family
kevin_robbins20 November 2022
Zootopia+(2022-) is a series my daughter and I recently watched on Disney+. The series is made up of short stories of the animals that reside in the town of Zootopia+. They all have different goals, ambitions and objectives and they're also all different shapes and sizes. We watch as the animals work to overcome various obstacles to complete various tasks.

This series is codirected by Trent Correy (Once Upon a Snowman) and Josie Trinidad and contains the voices of John Lavelle (Selma), Katie Lowes (Scandal), Joey Lawrence (Blossom), Alan Tudyk (A Knight's Tale) and Idris Elba (The Losers).

The animation for this series is absolutely out of this world. The depiction of the characters, universe and circumstances is amazing. Theres also great use of colors and shadows. There's some good lessons sprinkled in throughout the episodes and some fun humor too. The Godfather episode was me favorite and the Cheetah episode was hilarious. I do wish the episodes were longer than 10 minutes.

Overall, this is definitely a worthwhile series that is fun for the entire family. I would score this an 8/10 and strongly recommend it.

A must watch!!!
ss-0306610 November 2022
Godfather of the bride episode is a masterpiece of storytelling. An another gem from Disney. Being an anthology, some episodes are better than others but the quality remain the same. This is a perfect binge for the weekend. The main aspect of Disney stories which uplift the mood is well established. There is no downpoint because it gives what you are watching for. The stories are unique but the formation are the same as former movies. Zootopia is a unique world that is why they made some spin off unlike Frozen world or Moana. The city is inspired by New York where people can be whoever they want.

Only half of these were worth it
mrashtastic8921 November 2022
Zootopia+ is presented in a similar format to I Am Groot which came out a little over 3 months ago, after seeing them execute that and since I'm a huge Zootopia fan I was excited for this, but I finished it ultimately feeling like I wasted my time.

Zootopia+ is the definition of hit or miss, literally only half of these shorts were worth watching, the dance episode, the dinner episode, and the wedding episode were all terribly disappointing and even the actually good episodes felt like they had something missing.

I know for a fact young kids, aka the target audience, will enjoy this, but it just wasn't my cup of tea.

Short But Sweet Like Animal Treats
kervindonngo29 November 2022
Warning: Spoilers
It's been years since the movie Zootopia has been released. Now that Nick and Judy got their story in the movie we might as well focus on the other characters in these 6 new shorts.

It explored the stories of each of the characters like Bonnie and Stu saving baby Molly from the train they still both stay a healthy couple, Fru Fru reality TV show which is a parody of The Real Housewives, Duke's musical which is more into money and Mr. Big backstory which I can't tell what year take place that almost took inspiration of The Godfather.

But one of my 2 favorite episodes in Zootopia+ is "So You Think You Can Prance" and "Dinner Rush".

In the episode "So You Think You Can Prance" I just love the chemistry between Benjamin Clawhauser and Chief Bogo dancing together in the contest and let me be honest that this is my second favorite ship between my first favorite ship WildeHopps. The only upsetting part was that it was just only a dream and honestly they both look like a great couple. While for "Dinner Rush" They have one of my newest favorite characters in Zootopia+ and let me be honest that Sam is the most relatable character in the episode I am hoping to see more of her.

In closing. If you are a real Zootopia fan at heart for the longest years standing with the Zootopia Fandom then, please. Watch this show!

Only three episodes were worth watching!
Dovyeon10 November 2022
The remaining episodes featured characters displaying unintelligent behavior or being exceedingly dull, which was not in alignment with my anticipated and expected viewing experience.

I would strongly advise exclusively watching "The Godfather of the Bride" and "The Real Rodents of Little Rodentia" as, despite "Duke the Musical" managing to sustain my interest, it still constituted a substantial squandering of time.

Had I been exposed to the two commendable episodes initially, I would not have rendered it a rating of 5, and I would have been spared the encounter with the bathroom humor and infantile content of the first episode, the disappointment of the third, the idiocy of the fifth, and the profoundly monotonous sixth. Nonetheless, it is noteworthy that all voice actors returned for pecuniary reasons.

Should a second season be produced, I sincerely hope for a marked improvement.

Extra extras
cyberknight31 December 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Do you still remember when we used to look for special edition DVD and Blu-Ray, just to get the collector's bonus disk of our favourite shows? Well, this series was made like several bonus tracks from "Zootopia" (2016).

The main idea is to tell what happened before, during and after the main show with some side characters. The episodes are produced with the same visual and animation quality as the original film, so there's no break in the immersion. They also used the same voice actors and a matching musical score, so the production is perfect.

On a side note, I have to comment on another review, which complained that on the first episode, which has Judy's parents stunt-driving along Zootopia in an old pick-up truck, they passed through places they couldn't have (through a water body and whatnot). Well, Judy did that in the original film, didn't she? In the final arc, she gets that exact same truck and goes driving back to apologise and ask for help to Nick. Surely, there are bridges or tunnels crossing whatever water pond there's on Zootopia, kind of like in "real life"... If realism is required, then it could have been argued that such an old truck couldn't have matched the speed of the train (and that looks like a pretty fast train!), but that's conjectural (who knows, maybe Judy's parents are Zootopia's all-time off-road racing champions with a modded twin-turbo nitro-boosted engine running under that old hood...)

Back to the main track, I have to admit that the series is not perfect. The scripts are the weakest point. Aside from being too short, the producers didn't dare interfering with the original film's story, so no risks were taken. The plots are unconnected and don't go beyond the film's chronology in any important way. In other words, they extended the film sideways, instead of forth or backwards, what is seen, for example, on "Zootopia: Crime Files" game for mobile devices, which plays with the daily adventures of Judy and Nick in the ZPD (unfortunately, also not daring to interfere with the character's personal lives and extend their lores beyond their jobs.)

So, if you didn't expect "Zootopia+" to be "Zootopia 2", you'll be entertained with this series, otherwise, you may find yourself disappointed and blaming it for not being what you expected.

All in all, I'm very happy to have more of one of my favourite shows to watch, and can only complain that there's not much more!

Zootopia + (Every episode, gem for itself.)
BlondeHQ7 December 2022
Zootopia movie, (can't believe that actually passed.. that much since came out..) it's in my top three animated Disney movies of all time, so I couldn't wait to see.

Now we got.. First, it's series, 50min.. So we can meet better with their " lifestyle " haha!

CGI, animation, it's, I can't believe!

Full budget! Wauu!

Story.. dear Lord!

1 ep - it was super cute, excited adventure!

2 ep - it was super "irony" on today's tv- shows!

(I can't believe you done this! I'm proud! Haha!)

3 ep - we got musical, but not classic one!

(What is going to happen with him.. in 2 season, or on Zootopia 2 ? Or on both ? Hm!!)

And here it comes my three favorite!

4 ep - Godfather! Story is so powerful, so great, to bring emotions in you, to teach you in Godfather Disney Kids edition way, yet powerful enough to grown folks leave with.. just wauu! I wanted to say!

Disney, please, it has such a potention, made it movie, in way, side story, Zootopia presents, Godfather Movie.

It would be hugh success on box office, might even one of the greatest!

That 8 min or sometinn I haven't even blink!

(P. S, love that old school style effects too!)

5 ep - it was with most fun in whole series!

It's show! Talent show aeee! It was funny too!

And then.. Wait a second.. Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaa Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa ha.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

The best episode! The funniest!

And not in series!

One of the funniest things I've seen in entire life!

I'll never forget from movie parts with.. It's the first thing which comes to my mind.. And then we now got, 8 min, or sometinn.. If I would say anytinn it would be spoiler, so.. Just go, and laugh! It's.. good, for.. good.. evening.. hahahahahahhahahahaha!

Thank you Disney!

You made my night!

Full pleasure these 50 min!

Even seeing that few sec 6 times of Mickey Mouse!

It's great!

In the end!

After movie!

I hope this was 1 season!

I hope we get 2 season!

To meet little more characters.. And I hope then we're going to get Zootopia 2!

And it's even good for your budget!

But conti this way.. to be connected!

Because we already seen here some things, how they prepear for some things... so.. which can give us lead.. some things which could we see on movie, through longer story.

So if you don't see this, you won't be full in movie.. Ae ae... who am I teaching here, you know your job!

Hahahaha! I hope you do.. Because I don't wanna wait any longer.. I often loved to remember Zootopia, now I connected with them even more, plus if we get 2 season.. Give me to buy ticket immediately for Zootopia 2!

Thank you! All love!

Family's go, enjoy! It's too great!

You get all, fun, lessons, adventure, laugh, music, all!

+ good

..

....

Funny but Inappropriate for children
applebury_pie10 November 2022
Honestly I found the "show" much better than I have it rated; however the fact that it is supposed to be a kids "show" is why I gave this such a low score. Most of the "episodes" have a very inappropriate message for young children, and I know what you're going to say. That children won't understand, but I have 3 kids and they are a lot smarter than most people give them credit for. Most of the "episodes" glorify being a criminal or a bully, the rest I still wouldn't recommend ether because they have topic children aren't ready for. To wrap this up as an adult I really enjoyed it; however I wouldn't recommend watching the "show" with children under 12 because they may be influenced in a negative way.
