Art short.
24 April 2011 | by (Australia) – See all my reviews

Add FLAT LOVE to the the growing body of films made less for conventional exhibition than for the art gallery public. It is a suspect phenomenon. Think the Cremaster cycle.

This one is a handsome high end art short.

The plot, if you call it that, has the MOMA visitor fixating the girl in the Rauchenberg style picture, who intrudes into his real life with predictable consequences.

Lots of elaborate effects work to go with a technical assurance and Rossellini's toney narration show that we were supposed to take this one seriously.
