Jorge and Enrique are two performers in the post Spanish Civil War times that adopt an orphan child called Miguel. With a varieties company that travels around the country, Jorge and Enrique see the horrors left by the war meanwhile the "Nationals" watch Jorge and the rest of the company suspecting that some of them collaborate with the Republicans, opposite to the Franco Regime. The events of the movie are based on real stories that Emilio Aragón heard in the middle 90's during the production of Médico de familia
(1995) TV series. Veteran actors who did guest appearances in the family show told experiences lived in the Francoist Regime (1939-1975) in the set about the life in these years. Aragón compiled all it later, mixing to create the plot of the movie. See more
Miguel recognizes his mother during the projection of news (NO-DO). The first projection of NO-DO only took place the 4th of January of 1943 and the movie appears to be in 1940 or 1941. See more
