I encourage those who watch UNNATURAL 20 to stick with this short film. Sure, it's pretty obvious that the film was made by non-professionals with a very limited budget, but despite this, it managed to be quite funny and clever...and amazingly original.
The film begins with a couple nerdy looking guys meeting to play a paper and dice adventure game. However, instead of a Dungeons & Dragons adventure, one suggests they play a new role playing game...a very, very mundane role playing game. Instead of being wizards or knights, in this game you play a college student whose greatest adventures involve picking up girls and brushing your teeth!! It's all very silly but works well due to the creative energy of these clever guys. Sure, occasionally some of the extras smile or react poorly (after all, these aren't professionals), but as an early effort all this can be forgiven. Great job, guys.
