Warning: Spoilers
Here was a strange, short film that had a horror atmosphere to it. It shows the dynamic between a woman, Samantha, and her husband, with whom she is growing increasingly distant. We learn that her sister recently committed suicide, and they were very close. In flashbacks, we see that her sister never liked her husband because she felt he came between them. I think what was supposed to be happening is that the flashbacks we are seeing are being revealed to Samantha, because she seems to be changing her mind about her opinion towards her sister. As the short film progresses, Samantha locks herself in the bathroom and has visions of her sister from beyond the grave, encouraging Samtha to kill herself and join her in death. There is a moment of extreme tension as it looks like Samantha might drag a razor across her wrist, while her ghost sister shouts as her to do it, trying to force her hand. It ends with Samantha deciding not to, after which, her husband breaks into the bathroom. They embrace, and Samantha tells him "It's over." This seems to imply that she has let her guilt go and is now free from her sister's influence. However, the film leaves some ambiguity at the end when we see Samantha one last time talking to the mirror in the bathroom as though she still believes she can communicate with her sister. She is showing off a piece of jewelry her husband gave her (it might have been an engagement ring). She is saying, "Look at what I have, dear sister." Is she taunting her sister? Does she still care for her? I felt it was very open-ended. I think the reason why I didn't like

this choice is because it made me feel like she would never really be stable or well, and that her relationship would always suffer from her delusions and melancholy over losing her sister.
