Plot Summary

This is probably the first documentary from the NAVS organization, which has actively been trying to stop animal testing through legal means since its foundation in 1875. Exactly 100 years later (in 1975), the animal rights movement transformed into what we know today. In that year, discussions on the ethical problems of animal experiments finally broke through into academic circles, and new organizations began to emerge, including those that lobbied for changes in government legislation. Additionally, underground groups engaged in illegal activities, such as the liquidation of laboratories. During this time, non-profit organizations (such as PETA, BUAV, NAVS, etc.) also changed their tactics and started conducting undercover investigations. Activists infiltrated laboratories, where they filmed footage that revealed what the public would otherwise never know. This document is presented in a similar form. Written by Hayduke
