Stunning 16mm production
19 April 2010 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

This film was masterfully executed. The cinematography was beautiful and at times haunting.

Although it might be slow for some, the pace sets the mood for small town life and helps build suspense in a way that many modern films neglect.

Mexican folk lore adds a dose of the supernatural into this heartfelt drama. The lines of reality soon become as blurred as those of a blacktop road under the Texas sun.

At times the film feels like an old western and at others a modern Japanese horror film. Expect to see more from this talented filmmaker.

I highly recommend taking the time to enjoy this film.
