Agent Ballard opens the door to his apartment. Echo is suddenly there telling him that she has another message for him. They start to make out on the couch saying that she has something that he needs. Mellie is suddenly there crying. Agent Ballard looks up and says that she has something that he needs. Continues to make out with Echo on the couch. Mellie starts to ask how they knew about her. He suddenly snaps out of it and wakes up in bed. He really begins to wonder how they knew about his relationship with Mellie. The next morning, he starts to tear his apartment apart looking for the bug. He finally finds it in the AC vent.

Cut to the Dollhouse. Echo is dreaming about mountains. A voice says, "Caroline, it is time to wake-up." Echo wakes up in her sleeping pod and completely freaks out. She tries to pry open the pod and cuts her hand in the process. When she finally gets out, she finds Victor, Sierra, Mellie, and some guy named Mike. They have all awakened. They can't remember anything. Mike thinks that they have been abducted by aliens. Victor thinks it is the government. They walk outside and see the other actives roaming around. They figure out that they should try not to stand out and pretend that nothing is wrong. Someone notices that Echo has a cut on her hand and sends her to Dr. Saunders. She tells Echo that they are watching as she glances at the camera.

Mr. Dominic warns Ms. Dewitt that they have 5 actives who have awakened. He should notify the staff that it has happened. She tells him not to do that. Everything is going as expected. He tells her that the staff is not ready to handle this situation. She fires back that they should always be prepared for the worst.

The 5 arrive at breakfast trying to pretend everything is normal. Mike kind of freaks out and staff take him away. Dr. Saunders tells Echo that she will handle it. The rest of the 4 are starting to really freak out now. Should they try to escape immediately or try to find out what is going on. It is now time to shower and they notice that are no separate stalls. Victor is having a hard time keeping his eyes off of Sierra. They find Mike later in the sauna and he is now back to the way he was. He likes everything and he likes swimming laps in the pool. They all agree that they are going to try and escape now.

Victor lures one of the staff into the sauna and chokes him with a towel. He takes his security card. Sierra and Victor escape first. Echo and Mellie wait. Echo notices them take a blond girl named Tango away. They all meet in a long hallway. They pass by the room where all of the handlers gather. They are locking away guns and stuff like that. People are coming and they run into a room full of clothes and costumes. They notice that the racks have their names on it. There is a Victor rack, an Echo rack, etc... People walk in and they hide in the clothes. After the coast is clear, they come out. Mellie notices a baby stroller and remembers that she has a daughter named Katie. They all change their clothes and continue.

They make it outside to where the Actives return from their engagements. Everyone hides behind one of the SUVs parted. A guy dressed as a soldier returns with his handler. He complaining about losing someone and that they are the good guys. Echo is now confused. Is the Dollhouse good?? Victor breaks into the box holding the keys to all of the cars. They all get into one of the SVUs. The elevator opens and a handler with the blond girl named Tango comes out. She is suddenly speaking french dressed up like a hooker. Echo sees this and begins to worry. She gets out of the car and says that she can't leave the rest of them behind. She figures that everyone's free will is taken away and somehow programmed. The rest of the three drive away while Echo goes back into the Dollhouse.

Victor, Sierra and Mellie are driving around in circles. Sierra is starting to remember the person who put her in the Dollhouse. Some guy named Nolan and she is trying to remember where he lives. Victor mentions that they have been this way already. They stop at a school and Mellie tells them that she remembers where Katie is. She gets out of the car and starts to wander towards the school.

Back at the Dollhouse, Echo is trying to open up the lock with all of the guns in it. A handler shows up and they fight. Echo beats her up. Magically, even Echo is knocked around pretty good, she looks perfectly made up after the encounter. She takes a gun and takes the security card from the handler.

Mr. Dominic and Ms. Dewitt seem to know where everyone is and what everyone is doing. She is not worried that they have remembered or that they have broken out. The power suddenly goes off. They look at the cameras and see that Echo has broken into Dr. Saunders office. She takes a file. Ms. Dewitt says that Caroline has returned. She is trying to save everyone again.

Outside again, she remembers how to find Nolan. They go to his office where Nolan asks if this is a frequent buyer special. She wonders what he is talking about. He mentions how he had to pay soo much money to get her into the DollHouse. She asks him why and he says that she refused him. Now, he can have her whenever he wants and she even begs sometimes. Victor punches him in the month. Nolan asks if they have escaped but will do no good. He can afford a very expensive security system. He tells them that they should start running. Victor hits him again. He yells out that he will be looking forward to seeing Sierra again soon. They race down the stairs with the security guys come guns blazing. They hide in some room on the bottom floor. Victor tells her that he remembers her even when they are wiped. He remembers something bad happening to her but could not do anything to help. It feels like he is screaming inside of his head but his body does not do anything. He tells her that even if they are brought back, he will still continue to look out for her. They kiss...

Mellie is wondering through the school. She continues to wonder and wonder farther away from everyone. Then she is in a grave yard and walks up to a gravestone that says, "Beloved Katie". She breaks down to cry in front of it.

The DollHouse is still blacked out. Echo breaks into Topher's lab and threatens him with a gun. He explains what he does with his chair. Echo says that he has to let everyone go. Topher tells her that he can give back all of her memories but Echo insists that he should be in the chair first. They are testing her and a few of the others. He explains that the brain would overload if you tried to download into when it is full like his. That is why everyone has to be all docile when they are at the DollHouse. Echo proceeds to shoot up the chair and his computers. Ms. Dewitt walks in and tells Echo that she volunteered for this. She cannot give her back her memories because it would be breaking a promise to Caroline. Echo orders her to let everyone go. She agrees and all of the Actives are led into the outside world. Echo is walking behind and she is looking pretty happy and proud of herself. Suddenly she faints. One of the staff comes to pick her up and takes her back inside. We cut to Victor and Sierra and they faint. The same goes for Mellie. Agents are all there to take them back to the Dollhouse.

We cut back to the last scene in the previous episode where Ms. Dewitt is at a staff meeting with everyone. She says that a flood is coming and what they should do to stop it. They are referring to the last episode where that one drug messed all of the Actives up and where Echo kind of remembered who she was. Dr. Saunders says that they should let the flood in. Allow the most extreme cases a sense of closure. They all need to do something. Something un-resolved from their real lives. Let the flood in. Sierra needed to confront the guy who took her freedom away. Mellie needed to deal with the death of her daughter. Caroline needed to save everyone. Victor needed to get the girl. Everything is once again back to normal in the Dollhouse...
