"Being Human" (2008) More at IMDbPro »

The content of this page was created directly by users and has not been screened or verified by IMDb staff.
Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that, instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, you use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

Sex & Nudity

Partial nudity is visible during the Werewolf transformations. George's buttocks is frequently seen before and after his transformations and Nina's breasts are seen during hers.

There are numerous sexual encounters between various characters in most episodes, though these scenes vary from case to case in terms of duration and graphic content. There are also frank discussions of sexual behavior in most episodes.

In at least one scene, there is female full frontal nudity in series 2. She is lying on a table presumably dead and it lasts for about 3 seconds.

Violence & Gore

Most of the violence is implied offscreen rather than shown. Being that the show features Vampires, blood is frequently shown. Episode two of series three features Zombies being disembowled during an autopsy and a Zombie character who is impaled and subsequently falls apart by the end of the episode.

There is a very graphic murder scene at the end of series 2.

Profanity

There is frequent use of profanity in this program.

Drinking is shown sparingly. The character Mitchell is frequenlty shown smoking cigarettes.

This show makes frequent use of frightening imagery. Every Werewolf transformation shows the character in great pain and the transitional make-up may be frightening to some. Vampire characters are shown to grow fangs and have their eyes blacken. The character Annie is shown being pushed down stairs and cracking her skull on the floor below and dying; blood is then seen flowing from her head.
