"The Smurfs" A Long Tale for Grandpa/Where the Wild Smurfs Are (TV Episode 1987) Poster

Factual errors

In "A Long Tale for Grandpa," a swarm of aphids posed a threat to the Smurfs, their village, and their forest because they are depicted in eating almost everything in their path. However, this is a very inaccurate depiction of aphids, who do not act like locusts that strip the areas passed of all vegetation. In reality, aphids feed only on the juices of plants through their stylets. They do not eat plants as depicted in the episode.
