Plot Summary

  • Holly, Bridget, and Kendra are planning a "Girls Next Door" book based on their lives at the Mansion. They review Bridget's scrapbook looking for photos to use in the book. Hef tells the girls that he has been compiling scrapbooks for many years and has almost 2,000 of them. He takes them to his scrapbook room which has shelves and shelves of volumes. Hef shows the girls his scrapbooks, which begin with pictures of Hef's parents before he was born, followed by his childhood and youth. Amid the photos are cartoons Hef drew in his childhood and adulthood before Playboy was established. As Hef flips through the volumes, he reminisces about past girlfriends such as Joyce Nizzari, Barbi Benton, and Sondra Theodore, as well as the original Playboy Mansion in Chicago, hosting "Playboy After Dark" on television, and the Big Bunny jet airplane that the company used to own. Eventually they arrive at the scrapbooks covering Hef's marriage to Kimberley Conrad (which they flip through quickly), the post-marriage years, and finally the current era with Holly, Bridget, and Kendra. Later, the "Girls Next Door" book is ready, and Holly and Kendra bring a copy to Bridget as a surprise while she is in the middle of her radio show.
