We know that Robert Rodriguez is bringing one of his previous films to the small screen, with a TV adaptation of From Dusk Till Dawn currently filming, and now it's being reported by The New York Times (via ComicBookMovie) that The Weinstein Company is looking to branch out into the TV business and could be planning a Sin City series to follow the theatrical release of Sin City: A Dame to Kill For next year.
Apparently, Sin City is one of several movies that Bob Weinstein is looking to adapt for TV, with Rodriguez is said to be involved alongside with comic book creator and co-director Frank Miller. Meanwhile, in addition to the previously announced Scream pilot for MTV, Weinstein is also said to be working with director Frank Darabont on a 10-part series based upon Darabont's 2007 feature adaptation of the Stephen King tale The Mist.

It was feast or famine at this year’s Thanksgiving box office, as The Hunger Games: Catching Fire and Frozen eclipsed all other offerings. Both films did better business than forecast and each surpassed long-standing records for the holiday frame. This is where we start a war. We'll lose friends, and cause controversy. Because somewhere on this list below is something you're dying to see. In fact, you might be fanatical about some of these inclusions (Christopher Nolan fans, we're staring straight at you). But it's inevitable. And unavoidable. Hollywood is releasing hundreds of movies in 2014. Some of them will be good. Some of them will be bad. And some will be box office disasters. In compiling this list, we're not declaring that all, or even any, of these movies will be unwatchable. Some will be quite good. Maybe even a masterpiece or a classic in the making. There are a few that we're desperate to see ourselves. We really want them to succeed. But every movie here is a risk taker. And some of this shit? Hollywood should clearly know better. These are the 14 Biggest Potential Bombs of 2014.
As previously reported, both The Hunger Games: Catching Fire and Frozen are headed to record-breaking Thanksgiving weekends at the box office. But Black Friday numbers suggest that both films may be even bigger than originally thought — and both could pull in more than $100 million over the five-day frame!
Catching Fire topped the chart on Friday with a sizzling $31.3 million, which sent it right past the $250 million mark on its eighth day of release. The Avengers and The Dark Knight Rises are the only two films to ever reach $250 million faster. Catching Fire is currently on pace for a Friday-to-Sunday weekend in the $75-80 million range, »

One of the most frequent superhero related topics recently has been the casting for Edgar Wright’s (Shaun Of The Dead, Hot Fuzz, The World’S End) next film which will be based on Marvel Comics’ Ant-man. The film will be the first of Marvel Studios’ ‘Phase III’ line of films after ‘Phase I’ began with 2008′s Iron Man and culminated with last years Avengers, and of course ‘Phase II’ began earlier this year with the record breaking Iron Man 3.
Recent rumours have pointed to both Joseph Gordon-Levitt (The Dark Knight Rises, Looper) and Paul Rudd (Dinner For Schmucks, Anchorman) being in contention for the role. However it’s starting to look as if my personal favourite for the role, Rudd, may be the current front runner for Henry Pym/Ant-Man in the upcoming Marvel Production set to shoot in Atlanta. Edgar Wright has weighed in on the rumours »

Here's something to be thankful for this week if you're a Christopher Nolan fan. According to our friends at The Film Stage, the first trailer for Nolan's next film will drop alongside The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug when it hits theaters on December 13. And this ain't just a short teaser for Nolan's Interstellar either -- it's a full-on trailer that runs one minute and 43 seconds long. Due in theaters on November 7, 2014, the sci-fi blockbuster will follow Inception in being the second film to come from Nolan since the director catapulted to superstardom status following the launch of his Batman trilogy, which concluded with The Dark Knight Rises last year. We don't know a ton about Interstellar, aside from the fact that it follows a group...

The Starry Night Rises. Interstellar, the next film from 'visionary director' Christopher Nolan, will see its first trailer debut before the forthcoming Hobbit sequel, it has been revealed. Nolan has been busy at work at his new film, an original thriller set in space, since bidding a farewell to his triumphant Batman trilogy with last year’s The Dark Knight Rises. »
The first trailer for Christoper Nolan's highly anticipated sci-fi epic "Interstellar" will hit soon.
Marking Nolan's first film since "The Dark Knight Rises," the 1 minute and 43 second teaser for "Interstellar" is reportedly set to debut in cinemas on December 13th attached to copies of "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug".
Which prints will get it, and when will it be online is unclear at the moment. As the film boasts a mix of 35mm and IMAX footage, one wonders if the IMAX prints of 'Hobbit' will get something special in the way Nolan did with his last two Batman features.

Directed and co-written by Christopher Nolan (Inception, The Dark Knight Trilogy), the production has traveled the globe to utilize a mixture of 35mm anamorphic and IMAX film photography, bringing to the screen a script based on the combination of an original idea by Christopher Nolan and an existing script by Jonathan Nolan, originally developed for Paramount Pictures and producer Lynda Obst.

With only a small lead over Disney toon “Frozen,” Lionsgate’s “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” is expected to win the Thanksgiving extended frame with upwards of $85 million.
The actioner earned $20.7 million Wednesday, bringing its domestic cume to $206.4 million in only six days. It is now the sixth fastest film to cross the $200 million mark after “The Avengers,” “The Dark Knight,” “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2,” “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” and “The Dark Knight Rises” (“Rises” also took six days, but wound up with $211.8 million).
“Frozen” bowed Wednesday to $15.2 million and is expected to earn between $70 million and $80 million catering to families with young children this weekend. Though Thanksgiving Day isn’t generally a big moviegoing day, “Frozen” should see about 11% of its five-day haul from the holiday itself.
Other openers counterprogramming the weekend’s big bows are doing so with mixed success.

When in a life-or-death situation, I love a woman who fights back. But as a woman who would like to think she would fight back in any given scenario, I have to say: Removing my heels would be my first move. That’s if I were wearing them to begin with.
For starters, wearing heels is completely optional. It is a choice. And no matter how comfortable a pair might be, they’re never going to be as comfortable or risk-free as something like a pair of tennis shoes. That’s just life. So why is it that in movies, »

Check out this great video motion graphic called Cult Classic Cars: The Best Movie Cars of All Time. It was created by Kayla Matthews and features images and information on several of our favorite movie cars such as the Tumbler from The Dark Knight Rises, Eleanor from Gone in 60 Seconds, Barricade from Transformers, the Cherry Red Chevelle from Pulp Fiction, the 1968 Ford Mustang from Bullitt, and more.
Some of the greatest cars in the world were crafted specifically for a movie role. A great car can make or break a film. Here's a few of the best cars featured in movies. Sometimes, they are just as famous as the actors themselves.
The video was actually put together pretty well, and it's got some fun information.

"The Dark Knight Rises" was one of the most anticipated films of 2012, which made it difficult for director Christopher Nolan to keep any secrets during filming. The production would often be surrounded with paparazzi looking to snap a photo of anything that hints at the story. To get around this, Nolan decided to film the scene outside of Wayne Manor with wrong props and unnecessary actors on set, just to confuse anyone who's attempting to piece the plot together. Spoilers Ahead: During filming, several photos of tombstones appeared online. Those tombstones were from Bruce Wayne's funeral scene at Wayne Manor. But they didn't say "Bruce Wayne" on them. Nolan made the tombstones say "Miranda Tate" to throw people off. Then during post-production, he digitally changed the name to "Bruce Wayne." Nolan took it up a notch by also asking Christian Bale to be on set, in costume, to make it »
Sneak Peek more new footage, plus all the other footage released to date, from director David O. Russell's upcoming feature "American Hustle", starring Jennifer Lawrence ("The Hunger Games: Catching Fire"), Christian Bale ("The Dark Knight Rises") and Amy Adams ("Man Of Steel").
Screenplay is by Eric Warren Singer and Russell based on the FBI 'Abscam' operation.
Lawrence plays 'Rosalyn Rosenfeld', the 'unpredictable' wife of 'Irving Rosenfeld' (Bale), a con artist who is forced to assist the FBI in their investigation.
"...'American Hustle' is the story of a con artist and his partner in crime, who were forced to work with a federal agent to turn the tables on other cons, mobsters, and politicians - namely, the volatile mayor of impoverished Camden, New Jersey..."
The new film opens December 25, 2013.

Earlier this month it was revealed that Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones) and Brie Larson (The Spectacular Now) had tested for the role of Sarah Connor in Paramount Pictures' upcoming Terminator remake, and now The Hollywood Reporter has thrown another name into the mix, stating that Orphan Black star Tatiana Maslany has also auditioned for the role previously portrayed by Linda Hamilton (The Terminator, Terminator 2: Judgement Day) and Lena Headey (Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles).
There have been plenty of rumours circulating around potential casting for Terminator, which is set to be directed by Alan Taylor (Thor: The Dark World), with Tom Hardy (The Dark Knight Rises) said to be Taylor's pick for the role of John Connor and Garrett Hedlund (Tron: Legacy), Nicholas Hoult (X-Men: Days of Future Past) and Taylor Kitsch (John Carter) said to be in the mix for Kyle Reese.
