User Reviews

top notch made for TV documentary
14 May 2009 | by (Birmingham B6) – See all my reviews

this is an excellent documentary, very well thought out and enough depth to keep you gripped even if you have watched it a couple of times already. It seems to be aired quite regularly in the UK which is good too.

Acting is pretty good, i always think in particular, Jason Maza (who plays one of the wireless operatives) and the actor who is head of the enquiry are the two best performances. The narrative summing up at the end is pretty damning as well and makes you ponder on just how unlucky the whole situation of the Titanic was.

Another modern day trend, includes a cross examination of the facts by actual scientists whose research first lead to the theory that it may have been a design fault that was to blame. As well as that, other relevant scientific evidence is included, plus there is a retrospective account given by the last survivor, Mrs Milivina Dean, which is heart rendering. All in all, this documentary makes for quite a compelling 60 minutes or so.
