A former Fundamentalist from Texas is ousted from his church for asking unwelcome questions about the "missing years" of Jesus - the years from 12 to 30 unaccounted for in the Bible. The Texan, author Edward T. Martin, undertakes a seeker's question across 4,000 miles of India in search of evidence and answers about where Jesus was during those "Lost Years." An impressive array of Religious scholars and authorities weighs in, developing the cases for and against the theory of Jesus having traveled extensively in India. Written by Paul Davids

Jesus in India - an OK documentary
15 May 2010 | by (New Zealand) – See all my reviews

Note - this contains a spoiler - so do not read any further - if you wish to encounter the material first hand, via the documentary itself.

This is not a definitive or outstanding documentary about the topic of Jesus travelling to India - but it is a good start or a good introduction to this subject. Jesus was said to have been in India at two periods in his life - that in his youth, to see the world - and also after the crucifixion, in which he survived and had to flee for fear of his life.

Don't expect too much from this particular documentary - but it can serve as a good starting point to look at the other sources available.

Other material covering this same subject are the British documentaries

  • "Did Jesus Die?" (This follows a couple of red herrings - leads that

go nowhere but it covers the Kashmir connection), and "The Hidden Story of Jesus", which are worthwhile viewing.

Note - this particular documentary does not cover the Billy Meier / Talmud Jmmanuel text connection - which is even more controversial than what I have mentioned here. And yes - Ed T Martin's views agrees with the Billy Meier Talmud Jmmanuel text, although that is not mentioned in this documenary.
