And the tension grows!

Well, I have to say these last two episodes have made some of the cheesy slow prior ones worth the wait. Excellent performances, writing and directing. I can't wait for next weeks episode!

The taser that tases only one person!

A very good episode with superb acting, by almost everybody, but the two lady detectives who seem to just seek a sort of revenge and justice, not helping the case much as real professionals would do. Not a big issue, though, as they will be coming to their senses pretty soon, I feel. Their concerns and griefs hopefully channeled to better use, mainly to locate the boy!

To smart reviewers out there, who look like they know everything and are almost always unhappy, please be reminded that's a show. If your real criticizing stuff is even true (which it may be), the series would be finished in max 5 episodes. Any show needs a fair amount of fiction, suspension of disbelief and "mistakes" / unreal behavior for it to work and be entertaining. Some pull it off better than others, that's it.

Most people watch drama, fantasy, thrillers for an escapade, not going macho and starting to shout at their TV too, they do that enough in their real life and internally when alone.

Always got room for one more!

Some good points tonight 1. Another resourceful kid (another hapless adult) 2. Ricks unapologetic, cutthroat, shark attorney, perfect for 2021. 3. Unhinged, but now with a sense of humor-- "Always got room for one more" Ronald. 4. Merilee-- Sarcastic AND tough, Love it!

Episode 8

Warning: Spoilers
Ronald's psychotic behavior is becoming the highlight of the show, but unfortunately it is not enough.

Can we also stop with TV shows having people waltz into hospitals and pretend to be doctors? Not every hospital can be that inept.

Another sloppy investigation

Warning: Spoilers
Why not look up the people in the newspaper route immediately, in a more efficient way?

They have a good drawing of Ronald and once they know about the newspaper boy's route, they should look up their driver's license. What's with all this slow and sloppy investigation? What exactly are the police and FBI doing when a kid is going missing, and why are there only two amateurs wandering around?

Civilians and law enforcement are both too inept to believe.
MattHunX5 May 2024
They have not one, not two, not even three, but FOUR characters who can identify the guy, and not one of them or anyone from the authorities thinks to check either the police data-base, or whatever system they use to keep information on truckers, whose photo and ID and other information should be digitized, or on paper. There's no way it's not, in this age. Granted, it still gets resolved the next episode, but in a roundabout way. The fact that no one even thinks to check whatever records 'should be' on the computer or on paper is just so baffling it's impossible to suspend disbelief over.

And that is just one example of a number of such scene littered throughout the first half of the season.
