The final line "I love happy endings" was originally "Send him in darling" referring to a new band that wanted to be signed. The line was thought up by Christopher M. Lundy while him and George Streicher
were watching a rough cut of the film. Jokingly Christopher said "Man, I love happy endings" (referring to the not-so-happy ending). Streicher reportedly thought it hilarious and incorporated it into the film. See more
