Shot in just four days, in three cities, on an estimated budget of $2,600 (Canadian).
The character of the Eddie Yang (played by Alan Tam) was recast only a day before shooting when the original actor was fired. The character, originally named Phillip Savauge, had to be completely changed to suit Tam when he came on board, from his physical description to his character name.
Paul Fowles, who plays Coach Murray Tudeski, had worked with writer/producer/co-director Morgan Muscat previously on the short film 'Botched'. Muscat insisted that Fowles be the only actor to be considered for the role of Tudeski and he got his wish.
The role of Charly Matthews, played by 10-year-old 'Rebecca Leonard', was originally written for a male actor. After agreeing to let Leonard audition for the role despite the obvious gender difference, Morgan Muscat and director 'Shawn Robertshaw' agreed to cast her in the role after an impressive audition.
