How this film has gone unnoticed for so long on this site is amazing. It just goes to show that real talented filmmakers can't make an impact on todays audiences who are too busy watching crappy reality TV, sitcoms and mainstream films.
This sci fi story about a chimp that brings a very deadly virus back to earth is a simple but very well made and entertaining film. It is done with a small budget but with a lot of heart, ingenuity, talent.
It has the style of an old educational, newsreel film, best described as an mockumentary.
It goes to show that you don't need a big budget, lots of CGI, to do a interesting sci fi film. If only Hollywood would learn this rule.
For those of you who enjoyed Chris Markers La jetée (1962) should watch this, the rest stay away.
