There have been quite a few adaptations of Elmore Leonard's novels over the years, but there was a particularly noteworthy run in the mid to late-'90s (thanks largely to Quentin Tarantino) that included Jackie Brown, Get Shorty and Out of Sight. Now Leonard's work is coming back yet again with such recent endeavours as John Madden's Killshot, the FX series Justified and Joseph Gordon-Levitt's short film Sparks. We've also got another one of his books heading to the big screen soon courtesy of writer/director/actor Charles Matthau. As you can probably tell from the picture, he is the son of the great Walter Matthau, and the book he has chosen to adapt is the 1988 bomb revenge caper Freaky Deaky. The CW Network unveils its 2010-2011 schedule The CW Network unveiled the schedule for its 2010-2011 season today at a presentation for advertisers, affiliates and national media in the Theater at Madison Square Garden, where singer Katy Perry rocked the house to open the show. Channing Tatum’s HitRECord.org comedic short premiered to a packed house at the 2010 South by Southwest Film Festival last week.
For those who don’t know, HitRECord.org is a site that was started by Chan’s longtime friend Joseph Gordon-Levitt. It’s a place where artists and filmmakers can post their work and then collaborate with a community of users who can contribute to the work by adding their own tweaks.
The new film short is a sequel to ‘Morgan and Destiny’s Eleventeeth Date – The Zeppelin Zoo‘, was written by Hit Recorder Metaphorest, and stars Chan, Lexy Hulme (aka Lula) and Joe as Lionel, Destiny, and Morgan.
