It was funny.
Yeah, attacking the Old Testament is not a new idea, but honestly, I'm a Christian and I still think people need to figure out that THE BIBLE CANNOT BE FOLLOWED LITERALLY! It's true, super conservative Christians like to pick and choose which parts of the bible to follow closely and which parts to sweep under the rug and pretend aren't there.
Sure, some bits in there are good! But stoning? Slavery? Think about it people! Plus, y'know what...it was just a good time! Get over yourselves already and just enjoy the show, maybe learn something while you're at it.
