Best known for his roles in the hit Mexican TV show “Rebelde,” and English-language series — including “90210” and “Pretty Little Liars” — Boneta has also appeared opposite Tom Cruise in the film “Rock of Ages” and starred in the TV series “Scream Queens.” A recording artist as well, Boneta has released two albums, including his debut, “Diego,” and follow up, “Indigo.”
Touted as the only officially authorized series about the fiercely private artist, “Luis Miguel, the Series” joins a pantheon of musical bio-series that Telemundo has been producing, including one on Celia Cruz , “Celia,” and “Hasta Que Te Conoci,” based on the life of pop icon Juan Gabriel.

Billions is a world-class Showtime series starring Paul Giamatti as Chuck Rhoades and Damian Lewis as Bobby Axelrod. Their respective love interests are Wendy Rhoades played by Maggie Siff who was last seen on the small screen as Jackson Teller’s wife on “Sons of Anarchy”, and Malin Ackerman as Lara Axelrod, who played Tom Cruise’s main squeeze in “Rock of Ages” on the big screen. So, the second season actually contained better character development and tighter storylines than the first season. What were the best moments of the season? Well, we’ve compiled five of them even though the entire season

On the surface, Edge of Tomorrow seemed like a gimmicky sci-fi film at best. Its Groundhog Day-esque premise didn’t do much to rope audiences in, and it also arrived at an odd time in Tom Cruise’s career, following a string of mediocre releases like Knight and Day, Rock of Ages and Oblivion – all fairly forgettable affairs that had everyone thinking that maybe, the movie star just wasn’t the box office draw that he used to be. That’s why it was such a surprise then when Doug Liman’s brainy thriller turned out to be one of the very best films of the year, delivering a gripping and clever ride that’s now sitting pretty at an impressive 91% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Hollywood is abuzz — yet again — about prospects of an “American Idol” reboot, this time at ABC with a return slated for spring of 2018. Will the once formidable music competition show, which spent 15 years at Fox, fly again?
Former “Idol” associate musical director Michael Orland, who coached hundreds of finalists during his decade-and-a-half working on the show, thinks the franchise is ripe for a refresh. “‘American Idol’ was, and still is, the biggest and best of all of the entertainment competition shows,” he tells Variety. “It also produced so many people that came out of the show that still continue to make an incredible living as a result of their exposure on the show.”
Orland says that some of that talent nurtured on the series — which turned out stars that included Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Chris Daughtry, Jennifer Hudson, Katharine McPhee, Kellie Pickler, Fantasia, Phillip Phillips, and Adam Lambert, among others — are prime candidates to take the show »

The light-hearted Syd Hoff story starts with a boy named Danny befriending a good-natured dinosaur at a museum with Danny riding out of the museum on the dinosaur’s neck. The two then spend the day together playing, going to the zoo, having ice cream and letting other children use the dinosaur as a slide.
The company has optioned all non-publishing rights to “Danny and the Dinosaur,” which has sold more than 10 million copies. The script has been adapted by David Bowers and writing team Brian Sawyer and Gregg Rossen.
“The writers have transformed this wonderful book series into a vehicle for a top comedy talent,” said Harris, who has the title of president. “We see the feature version of ‘Danny »

Over the years, producer Tobey Maguire has been busy. He’s produced The Fifth Wave, Z for Zachariariah, Pawn Sacrifice, and Rock of Ages. In the eight years since Brothers, he’s produced more than acted, although he did very recently provide his voice for the #1 movie in America, Boss Baby. He doesn’t have any acting gigs coming up that we know of, […]

Starting its Season 12 Knockout Rounds Monday, The Voice threw a curveball at its contestants, allowing the pairs who’d be competing with one another to keep their spots to watch each other rehearse. Mind you, I’m not sure how big a curveball that really was since they’d all certainly gotten to see what their opponent-of-the-week was up to/capable of during the Battle Rounds. And could it possibly have been any more awkward than sitting on stage and idly observing as your rival sang their ass off in hopes of sending you packing? Anyway, the twist did manage to rattle a coupla vocalists. »
While the current TV season is winding down, ABC is bringing the season to a close in a huge way, debuting a new three-hour musical remake of Dirty Dancing. While it still isn't known when the trailer may arrive, the network has released the poster today, which gives us our first look at the new Frances "Baby" Houseman (Abigail Breslin) and Johnny Castle (Colt Prattes). This ABC Original Movie Event will air Wednesday, May 24 from 8 Pm to 11 Pm Et, which is shaping up to be one of the most highly-anticipated events this season.
Entertainment Weekly debuted this new poster, which comes just a few months after ABC announced the May 24 premiere date. Before the special was announced, some believed that ABC was trying to tap into the success of live musicals like NBC's Hairspray, but when Abigail Breslin came aboard in December 2015, it was revealed that this three-hour movie will be taped prior to broadcast, »
On Billions, Malin Akerman plays the savvy wife to a crooked hedge fund manager who wants for nothing. And while it seems the actress and her character wouldn’t have much in common, Akerman says they both come from “humble beginnings.”
“I also grew up with nothing – my family didn’t even have a car until I was 12 or 13,” Akerman tells People in this week’s issue.
Though Akerman’s character, Lara Axelrod, hails from a blue-collar family in Inwood, New York, the actress was born in Sweden and spent her youth in Canada.

In addition to his stellar work on Supergirl, Steve Orlando has everyone talking about his upcoming series, Justice League of America. Spinning directly out of the events of Justice League vs. Suicide Squad, it could be argued that it’s the most anticipated new book from DC to be released in the first quarter of 2017.
Uniting with possibly the best penciler-inker combination in the industry today in Ivan Reis and Joe Prado, Orlando brings together one of the most eclectic and interesting lineups to ever grace a team-up book from this publisher: Batman, Lobo, Black Canary, the Ray, the Atom, Vixen and Killer Frost. To be quite honest, you wouldn’t have to even tell me what the story entails and I would be sold on that knowledge alone.
