Miles Teller is one of the stars of "Divergent" and "Fantastic Four," but is becoming more recognized for his work in "Whiplash," which is considered one of the best films of the year. Now comes word that Teller is in talks to star in "The Only Living Boy in New York," a new independent drama that will be directed by "The Amazing Spider-Man" director Marc Webb. Allan Loeb (Rock of Ages) wrote the script, which tells the tale of a young man who learns that his overbearing father is having an affair. The son tries to stop it, but ends up becoming involved with the woman as well. This is the first non-Spider-Man film that Webb will work on since "500 Days of Summer." He's also considering a Fox Searchlight movie, called "The Gifted." »
Ever since Chicago ushered the movie-musical back to the big screen with panache, the song-and-dance genre has had a bumpy road in Hollywood (here’s lookin’ at you, Rock of Ages). But the man behind the 2002 Best Picture winner hopes to turn the trend around with another tuner, this time based on one of Broadway’s most beloved Stephen Sondheim musicals. Chester See is coming to Broadway. The YouTuber whose powerful voice and handsome look has helped him amass more than 1.5 million subscribers on YouTube, has been cast in Rock of Ages, the long-running musical featuring music from the 80s. See will play the role of Stacee Jaxx, a rock star and one of the show's central characters. Coincidentally, the original Los Angeles production of Rock of Ages featured Chris Hardwick, another performer with a big YouTube presence, as Jaxx. In the 2012 film adaptation of the musical, Jaxx was portrayed by Tom Cruise. Matt Weaver, the producer of Rock of Ages, explained that he chose See after being impressed by his audition. "I looked at this as an exciting opportunity to do something that wouldn't be expected," he said. "He's got a real audience at YouTube, he's got a real voice there, and I think that audience is going to travel to Broadway. »

Live. Die. Repeat / Edge Of Tomorrow Blu-ray Well, it.s official: Starting today, Edge of Tomorrow is now christened on its Blu-ray box as Live. Die. Repeat / Edge of Tomorrow. Tell all your friends. Or don.t, as the confounding title of this movie has no effect whatsoever on how awesome this movie is. Tom Cruise has been scraping the bottle of the barrel with a few duds recently, including the preposterous Rock of Ages and the boring Oblivion. Perhaps because of the actor.s recent misses and weird marketing that didn.t totally explain how funny Tom Cruise.s latest movie is, people didn.t go out in droves to see Edge of Tomorrow in theaters. Luckily, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has rectified this situation with its Blu-ray set, which features better marketing and a slew of bonus features to entice fans. The movie itself follows Tom Cruise as »
We'll always know what you did last summer*. Because Sony won’t let us forget.
Deadline recently reported that the studio is rebooting I Know What You Did Last Summer, the 1997 slasher film about a group of college kids (Jennifer Love Hewitt, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Freddie Prinze Jr. and Ryan Phillippe) who cover up their hit-and-run, only to be stalked and slayed by the very person they thought they killed.
Now our ultimate dream cast for this reboot is present day J.Love, Smg, Freddie Prinze, and Ryan P. playing the same roles they did two decades ago (most are available), but since that definitely won’t happen, we brainstormed a few suggestions:

The critics really liked it, international audiences checked it out, but in the United States it seemed no-one was catching the Tom Cruise-led "Edge Of Tomorrow" in cinemas and many wrote it off as a flop on launch.
Yet, rather sneakily, the film has stuck around and this week officially crawled past the $100 million mark at the U.S. domestic box-office. That is significant as according to Box Office Guru, this marks the first Cruise-led film outside the "Mission: Impossible" franchise to have done so since 2005's "War of the Worlds".
Yes, 'Edge' has outpaced "Jack Reacher" ($80M) "Knight and Day" ($76M), "Oblivion" ($89M), "Rock of Ages" ($38M), "Valkyrie" ($83M) and "Lions for Lambs" ($15M) domestically. "Tropic Thunder" ($110M) did pass the mark, but Cruise was not the lead in that and it wasn't marketed on his involvement.
Considering 'Edge' opened to around $28 million, it has made three-and-a-half times »

Julianne Hough Heading Back To 'DWTS'
Hough is reportedly in talks to become a fourth judge on Dancing With the Stars, joining the panel that currently includes Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli, according to TMZ. Apparently, Hough and producers are in the process of negotiating a deal for her to fill in the spot that was filled by a series of guest judges last season.
Hough created a bit of controversy while serving as one of the guest judges during season 18’s “switch-up” week when she accused Maksim Chmerkovkiy, who was normally partnered with Meryl Davis, of “phoning in” his dance with Danica McKellar. Her brother, Derek Hough, who dances on the show, took to his sister’s defense.

Since 2010, Paul Giamatti has been one of Hollywood’s most prolific actors, appearing in 19 films in the past five years. Some were great (12 Years a Slave, Win Win), and some were not so great (Rock of Ages, The Hangover Part II). However, regardless of the role, Giamatti was almost always a high point of the film. Now, the trusted character actor (and occasional leading man) has an exciting new role in his roster, as Jerry Heller, the controversial manager of the pioneering hip hop group N.W.A., in the music biopic Straight Outta Compton.
Before he managed the influential group, Heller represented pop acts like Journey, Reo Speedwagon and Marvin Gaye. After he co-founded Ruthless Records with N.W.A. member Eazy-e, Heller oversaw one of the genre’s defining records by the group, one which shares its title with this biopic.
However, he later became synonymous with ripping off the rappers. Several »
