It's fun enough

It is certainly a fun game! There's no doubting that! But there are definitely flaws! One example is the immense difficulty of kicking out and breaking out of submissions. WWE games definitely did this better! They actually gave you a chance. Where as in this game if you're in a submission you are in it! You don't win. And if you are hit with a finished. That's it. You lose! It's kinda the worst part of the game by far! Is it fun to play. Well, if you know you're gonna lose within minutes of starting a 1 on 1 then no. Not at all. Rather disappointing! I still play it but it's rare that I truly have a good time when there is so much to complain about.

All Elite Wrestling First Wrestling Video Game
Terryfan23 July 2024
Warning: Spoilers
When All Elite Wrestling formed it has set wrestling on fire and it was only a matter of time before we got a AEW video game.

Now I know everyone has had their own opinion on the game but this is my opinion on the game because we need different wrestling games.

AEW Fight Forever feels like a nostalgia trip for those who played the Nintendo 64 wrestling games because the team behind them have join up to make the game.

The game is loaded with a impressive roster for the game with different styles for fans and players to choose from to create wild matches.

In AEW Fight Forever the game roster includes: Hangman Adam Page, Dr. Britt Baker DMD, Adam Cole, Anna Jay, Sting, Chris Jericho, Darby Allin, Hikaru Shida, Jon Moxley, Kris Statlander, MJF, Orange Cassidy, Riho. You get to also unlock Owen Hart in his first video game since Legends of Wrestling series. Along with Mr. Brodie Lee and Referee Aubrey Edwards.

The game graphics do have some great details with the fans and a good bit of the wrestlers look close to their real life counterparts. You see wrestlers sweating and a rare thing in wrestling games where the wrestlers can bleed in matches. The game looks very good also the arenas look like they do on tv and it feels like being on the show.

The sound is good as the wrestlers can be heard making grunts and sounds as they battle in the ring allowing to actually being in the match.

The Road to Elite allows you to having the feel of being a wrestler in career mode, you get to work out, dine on food, meet fans, press conferences of course wrestle matches. The story offers different branches as you go through the mode.

The controls take a few to learn as you have to be patient when you go through the curve to learning how to control the game but once you do you are going to be rewarded with non stop fun. I have spend countless hours with seeing what matches can get me a good rating. Each match you get ratings if you win or lose. Also you can hold multiple championships at once.

The gameplay is loaded with modes like single, four way , tag team, ladder match, Barbwire match, lights out match, casino battle royal.

Each match is fast pace and you have to be ready for the opponent as you are getting to put your gaming skills to the test. The game is just about having fun.

However the game does have some issues, the entrances are short that is a let down. Also sometimes the opponent can be a handful with catching you when you preformed an high risk move along, also tag team matches I find can be a headache.

Overall AEW Fight Forever is actually a fun game and should be given a try.

With good graphics, intense story mode, wild gameplay the game is also fun with friends.

I give AEW Fight Forever an 8 out of 10.
