David Hyde Pierce, best known for starring on Frasier, is joining the cast of the CBS legal drama The Good Wife.

Pierce's guest-starring role in The Good Wife’s sixth season will see him play a cable news legal commentator, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The highly-respected media man decides to run for elected office, motivated by the ongoing corruption and horrific murder rates in Chicago.

“We couldn’t be more thrilled and flattered that David’s making The Good Wife his first TV role since Frasier,” said showrunners/executive producers Robert and Michelle King. “We’re tremendous fans of his dramatic skills as well as his comedy.”

Nickelodeon Adds Dan Schneider Series, 2 More Live-Action Comedies to Its Roster

Nickelodeon is fortifying its live-action comedy slate with series orders for three new shows, including  series from “iCarly” creator Dan Schneider. Shnedier's series, “Henry Danger,” is a crime-fighting comedy centered on 13-year-old Henry, who scores a part-time job as a sidekick-in-training to super crime fighter Captain Man (plaed by Cooper Barnes of “The Perfect Host”). Their colorful adventures throw Henry's otherwise ordinary life absurdly out of balance, yet he must keep his new job a secret from his best friends. Nickelodeon Greenlights New Comedy From Dan Schneider, Two Other Live-Action Series

Nickelodeon has given a 20-episode order to Henry Danger, a new crime-fighting comedy from the network’s top creator Dan Schneider who is behind eight Nick live-action series from the past two decades, Sam & Cat, Victorious, iCarly, Zoey 101, Drake & Josh, The Amanda Show, Kenan & Kel and All That. Additionally, at its upfront today Nick is announcing the pickup of two other new live-action comedy series. High school/cheerleading sitcom Bella And The Bullfrogs, which has a 12-episode order, was written by Gabriel Garza and Jonathan Butler (The Haunted Hathaways). Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn, greenlit for 13 episodes, centers on a set of quadruplets. It was created by Matt Fleckenstein.
