I am sure some folks watching this episode of "The American Experience" will love it and be thrilled that it calls into question the official line on the death of John Kennedy. As for me, I felt it was all very tiresome, as this is (no pun intended) a dead issue. Folks who continually churn up this event and claim it's related to various conspiracies are either nuts or have an agenda--an agenda that leads to book sales and movie deals. In other words, I feel that as long as there's money to make off Kennedy's corpse and folks who are gullible, the issue won't go away. And, because of my strong feelings, I really got very tied of it and wished the series had chosen a better topic. Plus, they seemed to present ALL these crazy theories without a lot of criticism--lending credence to people who think, for example, that Oliver Stone is a great historian! Normally, "The American Experience" seems scholarly and well documented--here it was just filled with crazy theories. Not up to the show's usual standards, to say the least. Just my two cents worth....unless I am ALSO a part of this vast conspiracy!
