FantasticFest is the largest genre film festival in the U.S., specializing in horror, fantasy, sci-fi, and action movies from all around the world. Here's a list of some of our favorite movies at FantasticFest.
Genetically altered plant geared for rapid growth turns wild, and affects people who comes near it into zombies. Seven school girls encounters the affected crew of Survival Land - an amusement park scheduled to open in 3 month, and it becomes survival for all of them for real.
The movie combines two popular Japanese movie format - zombies, and school girls. The plot is predictable in what happens when the two collide. There's gore and mayhem at every turn, but the movie is surprisingly light hearted because the reality is bucked by the presence of the girls. The girls are pretty good looking, and I think that's the attraction of this movie.
There's no complicated plot, just girls running around trying to avoid the zombies, but the movie is high quality in various areas. The landscape where the movie was shot is beautiful, and cinematography is also excellent.
The story is just an average B movie, but the production is quite good which makes this movie worth watching.
