The main cast of Ravenswood, the upcoming Pretty Little Liars spin-off is finally complete. Beauty and the Beast actress Nicole Gale Anderson recurs on the ABC Family remake and will jump to series regular status for the exciting new spin-off. Lucky us! Let’s review who our new characters are, shall we? Just recently I filled you in about the twins. Abel is “a lone wolf and old soul with a brooding intensity”. He’s loyal, but mysterious. Olivia, his twin sister was once prom queen, but whatever went down during those golden days has left her much less trusting and much more introspective.
In the roles of Abel and Olivia are Brett Dier and Elizabeth Whitson. They join Pretty Little Liars hottie, Tyler Blackburn, whose character, Caleb Rivers, will help transition fans from the flagship series into the mysterious spin-off, which deals with a centuries old town curse. Anthony C. Ferrante's newest horror project involves tornados, flooding and flying sharks. Previously known as 'Dark Skies', obviously dropping the title due to the recent release of Blumhouse Productions' sci-fi horror of the same name, comes 'Sharknado'...yep that's right. 'American Pie' star Tara Reid pops up in the new project due for release later this year (likely direct to DVD no doubt) which also stars Ian Ziering ('Beverly Hills 90210') and Cassie Scerbo ('Make It or Break It'). Along with the news of the name switch comes a typically cheesy piece of poster art to celebrate airborne sharkage. Check it out below. »

7 Questions With Nico Tortorella The Following You may recognize the sexy 24-year-old Nico Tortorella from his roles in Scream 4, Make It or Break It or The Beautiful Life, but it’s his current gig as a “follower” on Fox’s breakout series The Following (Mondays) that is capturing viewer attention. Tortorella plays the skittish Jacob who was part of that strange love triangle between Emma and Paul and is now on the run from Kevin Bacon’s Detective Ryan Hardy. As of presstime his character has yet to kill or be killed (thankfully, he’s a follower with a conscious), and his [...] »

You may know that I’m already something of a reluctant, if fairly enthusiastic, fan of ABC Family, and most of the shows they put out. If so, I don’t have to sell you on the two new series coming your way this summer (and only really want to sell you on one anyway).
Much as ABC Family may not quite be putting out the best shows on television, if you look at series that are predominantly geared toward a specific demographic… well, I think they might be actually. Younger audiences (and let’s face it, especially female audiences) are caught in a sort of black hole when it comes to television, and shows aimed at them today are either convinced that your brain doesn’t turn on until you’re 20 (actually, it switches off at about 11, and back on at some vague point), or have no real appeal »

It's been about 5 minutes since we had any news of a shark attack horror movie so its about time we rectified that. Tara Reid ('The Fields'), Ian Ziering ('Beverly Hills 90210') and hottie Cassie Scerbo -below ('Make It or Break It') are all aboard the city flood-based thriller filled with massive hungry fish from 'Boo' helmer Anthony C. Ferrante. Shooting has already kicked off in Los Angeles under the title of 'Dark Skies' which is a particularly odd choice due to the fact that the Jason Blum produced sci-fi horror of the same name will be arriving in theatres in just a few weeks time. No doubt this will change during production. More on this soon. »

Cassie Scerbo – in case you remember this young lady from ABC’s Make It Or Break It, you’ll be happy to hear that she’s now officially on board for an indie sci-fi thriller Dark Skies. The whole thing comes from director Anthony C. Ferrante, and beside Scerbo, the movie will also star Ian Ziering and Tara Reid. For more details about the project – check out the rest of this report!
So, at this moment we know that Ferrante directs the movie from a script written by Thunder Levin, and the whole thing will center on a divorced Venice Beach bar owner who is on a mission to find his estranged family after a devastating storm floods Los Angeles.
Beverly Hills star Ian Ziering is set to play that bar owner, while Scerbo will play the role of a bartender who helps him fight against any shark attacks along the way. »
