Storyline

"1320 A West Coast Story" is a real look at the history of street racing and drag racing, as it began in Southern California in the 1950's. From an initial look at the early days and the parallels that are occurring now a days in the underground street racing subculture, it is obvious that things never change. Featuring extensive interviews with key figures in the automotive after market and drag racing industry including the founder of the NHRA, Wally Parks. Also featured are street racers, pro drag racers, magazine editors and enthusiasts. The effects of street racing, laws and tactics enacted to battle the nuisance, and more are discussed. Featuring a new editorial look at the popular series from Universal Studios "The Fast and Furious" franchise. Do movies such as "The Fast and the Furious" make people street race?
