Trivia

Karan Johar was originally suppose to direct this film with Shahrukh Khan, Kajol and Sanjay Dutt in the main leads. The film was then titled Kaal. But Karan dropped this project to work on Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham (2001).Aditya Chopra knew about the script and decided to make "New York" years later. He did this thinking Karan was not going to make the film. Years later Rensil D'Souza decided to brush off Karan Johar's old script Kaal and make it as "Kurbaan". It was when New York in production that Karan realized Aditya Chopra had taken the story without getting his permission or consulting him. Kurbaan had already started and it was too late to stop the film. This created friction in the friendship of Karan Johar and Aditya Chopra. See more »

When Sam is playing chess at the University with the Asian guy, the board is shown from the top; there is one chess cube free between the two kings. In the next scene the kings are shown next to each other. That is not possible because both of them would be in check. Plus, Sam is making checkmate by taking the white king with the black king. That is against the rules of chess. See more »

Brilliant

Truly this movie delivers what it promises. It starts with a bang (literally) and keeps the audience at the edge of their seats! I liked the fact they didn't push any unnecessary songs into the movie. The acting was amazing. Neil Nitin Mukesh, John and even Katrina, did a fantastic performance. Hats off to Kabir Khan and Sandeep Srivastava for writing such a sensitive topic. I liked the fact that this movie wasn't all "anti America", nor was it to show sympathy for terrorists. The movie states the facts and shows each side of the issue. There weren't any music nor song that really captivated much of my attention, it could've been much better. Overall, I would definitely recommend everyone to watch this movie for both the performances and of course the story.
