- TriviaIn "They're Smurfing Our Song," the reason the mute wood elf Laconia was not affected by Woody's cursed pan flute is that she is actually deaf. Her deafness was previously evident when she was unaffected by the music from Gargamel's magic organ during her wedding in the 1985 Smurf special "Smurfily Ever After."
- GoofsGargamel caught four Smurfs (Hefty, Clumsy, Farmer, and an unknown Smurf) with his net where they were picking Smurfberries and put them into his basket. Latter on inside his hovel, he captured Brainy and Papa Smurf and also placed them into his basket. After Sassette's expression of love for Gargamel broke his evil spell on Woody's reed pipe, its tune played by his deaf-mute wife Laconia influenced Gargamel to free the Smurfs inside the basket. While Brainy, then Papa Smurf were freed by Gargamel, two of the original captured Smurfs (Hefty and Clumsy) were freed even though Gargamel caught four of them in the Smurfberry field. Also, when the Smurfs and Laconia left Gargamel's hovel, three of the original captured Smurfs (Hefty, Clumsy, and an unknown Smurf) are walking instead of four.
- Quotes
Sassette: [Speaking while Gargamel plays Woody's cursed pan flute] Pappy Gargamel, I just wanted to tell you that I love you. I don't know why I love you, but I really do.
Gargamel: [Becomes exhausted and sighs. Then comes to Sassette to plead with her] Oh no one... no one has ever said that to me before...
[Weeps]
Gargamel: I can't bear it...!
[Weeps again]
Papa Smurf: [Speaking after climbing out of Gargamel's basket] Not even the deep voice of evil within Gargamel is strong enough to withstand the power of love.
