Plot Summary

  • Clean Mic is an entertaining, thought provoking journey into the realities facing Washington DC, New York and Boston comedians in comedy clubs. This funny, behind the scenes portrait reveals the complexities of performing clean comedy in an entertainment hungry society which often rewards stereotypes. Social comedy veteran icons Dick Gregory and Paul Mooney reflect on their personal stories and observations of Hollywood marketing of African-American comedians and actors.
