It’s been three years since “Breaking Dawn – Part 2″ closed the book on “The Twilight Saga” — at least, until those mini-movies pumped some new blood into the series — but at Tuesday (Aug. 18) night’s premiere of “American Ultra,” Kristen Stewart got some bloody good support from her old wolfpack pal Taylor Lautner. Yes. Taylor came out to support Kristen’s new action-comedy for its Los Angeles red carpet roll-out, which is the first time the two ha »

Kristen Stewart Talks Future Twilight Remakes: "I'd Be Kind of Fascinated"

18 August 2015 4:19 PM, PDT | E! Online | See recent E! Online news »

It's been nearly three years since the fifth and final installment of the Twilight franchise, Breaking Dawn Part 2, hit theaters. So, are we ready for Hollywood to throw Twilight into the recycling bin? Kristen Stewart, along with Twihards, might be game for some more of the vampire love story. When Uproxx asked how she felt about a Twilight reboot, she first needed a bit of clarification. "Are they saying that they have to redo them? Like, we have to do them again?" the actress responded. But for something down the line—and with a new cast—the star is totally open about the possibility. "I was so genuinely, heavily entrenched in that, and not in a way that felt like an obligation. Heroes creator reveals the death of an original series character prior to Heroes Reborn

15 August 2015 1:30 AM, PDT | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

NBC’s upcoming event series Heroes Reborn is set to bring back many of the original cast members of Heroes, although there are several noticeable absentees from the revival. Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, creator Tim Kring has revealed that while the availability of the actors had an impact on who returned, the main criteria was the requirements of the story – and that included the death of a major character from the original show. So, spoilers…

“The story was really the thing that dictated who would come back,” said Kring. “The show was always designed to be very elastic in its premise. I always saw it as a show that could repopulate itself. I wanted to make it something that was easy for brand new viewers to watch. For them, caring about new characters is just as important as having former cast in the show. »

Superman trolls ’50 Shades of Grey’ fans, opens the door to a Bdsm education

11 August 2015 1:19 PM, PDT | Hitfix | See recent Hitfix news »

Here's how Superman inspired me to go to Bdsm school.  Recently, Superman himself, Henry Cavill, essentially trolled “Fifty Shades of Grey” fans. Franchise Herald (via E! Online and USA Today) reports that the "Man of Steel" star initially indicated that it was a possibility that he may appear in the "Fifty Shades" sequel, only to later confess that he was just “messing” with both the media and the book and movie fandom. This got Donna Dickens and myself on the topic of the popular E.L. James book series and subsequent movie adaptation. We’re not here to debate the relative merits of either, though. I wrote a piece for HitFix some time ago outlining my take on why some women were responding to the "Fifty Shades" mothership -- "Twilight." For those who don't know, the "Fifty Shades of Grey" novels began as "Twilight" fanfic. You can read that here: "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 »

Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 1 Gets Completely Torn Apart In This Fun Video

10 August 2015 3:14 PM, PDT | cinemablend.com | See recent Cinema Blend news »

Poor Twilight. You would think that its $3.3 billion gross at the box office over the course of five films would have garnered it some respect and acclaim, but, despite its huge popularity, the series is still widely held in disdain. The below video, from the good folks over at Cinema Sins, shows us why, while only focusing on Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 1. Poor old Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart. Even though they.ve both gone on to produce respectable, even credible performances in the likes of Cosmopolis and The Clouds Of Sils Maria, respectively, every single time I see even a single shot, let alone hear them as their Twilight characters, I can.t help but despise them. Which, even as I write that, I know is over the top. Still, I.m going to stand by it.  The problem is there.s just so much to hate about Twilight: »

Kristen Stewart's impressive 'vampire orgasm'

30 July 2015 2:04 AM, PDT | National Ledger | See recent National Ledger news »

Kristen Stewart impressed the director with her ''vampire orgasm'' in 'Twilight'. Bill Condon - who was at the helm of the final two instalments of the film adaption, 'The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Parts 1 and 2' - has revealed he was impressed with how she acted in a particular scene. He said: ''I'd been a fan of Kristen's before Breaking Dawn, and I loved working with her. She's incredibly smart and committed, she played such a range of emotions across a single film, from wedding jitters to death throes to vampire orgasm - I mean, if you can pull that off, you can do anything.'' And whilst 'Twilight' has seen its fair share of critics, Bill is glad he got the chance to ''channel his love of classic horror films'' into the flick. He told Vanity Fair magazine: ''One of the reasons I wanted to do 'Breaking Dawn »

Exclusive: 5-Minute Preview Of Carter Burwell's 'Mr. Holmes' Score

21 July 2015 1:11 PM, PDT | The Playlist | See recent The Playlist news »

It's something of a crime that the great Carter Burwell has never won an Oscar, let alone been nominated, because it's hard to imagine some of the movies he's worked on without his musical touch. He's done memorable work for the Coen Brothers in films like "Fargo" and "Miller's Crossing," and his talents run wide, working on everything from Spike Jonze's singular "Where The Wild Things Are" to blockbuster "The Twilight Saga — Breaking Dawn." And his latest effort is another move in an interesting direction with Bill Condon's "Mr. Holmes." Led by Ian McKellen as the famed detective, the story follows the elderly crime solver who embarks on a mission to solve one last case. It's a journey that will see him confront issues of memory, aging, and legacy. And as you'll hear below in this exclusive preview, Burwell brings a sensitive touch with his compositions for the movie. »

'Mr. Holmes' (2015) Movie Review

17 July 2015 9:34 AM, PDT | Rope of Silicon | See recent Rope Of Silicon news »

Elegantly executed through sincere emotions, graceful maturity and tremendously striking performances, Mr. Holmes is a wonderful return-to-form for director Bill Condon. Following a series of disappointing efforts like the muddled The Fifth Estate and exasperating The Twilight Series: Breaking Dawn movies, the filmmaker channels what made him such a haunting force, further humanizing Arthur Conan Doyle's legendary fictional figure and quaintly extenuating his character's story with tons of heart, wit and poise. Based on Mitch Cullin's 2005 novel "A Slight Trick of the Mind", this iteration of Sherlock Holmes (Ian McKellen) finds the notorious detective in 1947, 93-years-old and living under the exaggerated shadow created by his late partner Watson's pen. With a failing mind and continuously haunted by the one mystery he couldn't solve, the retired celebrity returns from Hiroshima, Japan to once again live under the care of his housekeeper Mrs. Munro (Laura Linney) and her young son »
