David Gram, a pharmaceutical sales rep, takes advantage of an opportunity to win over a client set in a remote territory, which would make him top sales rep of the year. This is the genesis of the idea for an all out business mixed with pleasure road trip/surf safari up the California coast with his four buddies in a classic 1950 Ford Woody. Along the way, David is outraged when he encounters his estranged wife, whose newly acquired job as sales rep for his competitor, is on her way to win the same client. The race is on. A delightful journey

Road Reps is a movie that supports a cultural obsession with the belief that tomorrow is another day. A road trip is the passage that leads to the possibility of a new beginning, enlightenment and freedom from the past. This movie inspires me to go on a road trip. Though the story is not about surfing the film has some fun surfing footage along with a wonderful depiction of the California landscape. Great characters. If the actors are not all good friends with each other in real life, then they all gave the most realistic and convincing performance. I love the sub theme of Native American wisdom. Not only is Road Reps a fun movie, it also has a heart felt story. Road Reps is in the same vein as "Sideways" (staring Paul Giamatti and Thomas Haden Church) and 1985's cult film "Fandango" (staring Kevin Costner and Judd Nelson). Road Reps has potential to be a cult classic. I highly recommend watching this movie.
