JOURNEY... ...with three world-renowned BASE jumpers as they travel 10,000 miles by airplane, river boat and 4x4 truck... TO... ...confront the mist and mystery of an old cave, an ancient culture, and their own demons at... THE CENTER... ...of their dangerous mission: Tian Keng, the Heavenly Pit. Millions of years old, half a mile deep, waiting for eons to test the endurance, skill and courage of the men who dare to parachute into her heart. Written by

I just attended the 2009 Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour held in Baltimore. Journey to the Core is, by far, my favorite selection! I usually find sport related documentaries to be boring, but this film was so well made I will never forget it for the rest of my life!
This documentary is about three world renowned BASE Jumpers making the ultimate jump into the Tian Keng, known as the the Heavenly Pit. A cave millions of years old, half a mile deep, and waiting eons for three men to jump directly into her heart!
Journey to the Center is powerful and deeply moving! The base jumpers' humanity shines through! I also felt like I was literally there with these three amazing and inspiring men! And, the cinematography is just spectacular!
I hope this film gets an Academy Award for Best Documentary! This is film making at its very best!
