Death at a Funeral (2010) Poster

Trivia

In the original Death at a Funeral (2007) screenplay, the character that Peter Dinklage ended up playing was of average height and not written as an Achondroplasic dwarf; the character was changed for him after he auditioned and was cast. He then became the only actor to reprise his role in this remake.
During a chaotic scene, Uncle Russell (Danny Glover) states: "I'm too old for this shit!", his favorite quote in role of Roger Murtaugh from the Lethal Weapon film franchise.
This movie is a remake of the 2007 movie of the same name. Although Hollywood has a history of making American versions of foreign films, the original versions are usually in a language other than English - not the case here, since the original film was a British production and filmed in English. This is a very unusual case of a remake being made very quickly of an English-language movie that had a theatrical release in the U.S. (albeit not a very successful one).
In one scene, Ryan (Martin Lawrence) clarifies that Aaron (Chris Rock) is only a few months older, both were born in the same year. In real-life, Chris Rock and Martin Lawrence were born 1965, but Chris Rock is older.
This film features Ron Glass, who starred in the cult television series Firefly (2002). The original Death at a Funeral (2007) featured Alan Tudyk, who also starred in Firefly (2002). Glass and Tudyk also appeared in the "Firefly" follow-up movie, Serenity (2005).

One of the oft-mentioned photographs involving Edward and Frank, features them dressed as Deena and Effie attending the premiere for Dreamgirls (2006). Loretta Devine, who portrays Edward's widow Cynthia in this film, originated the role of Lorrell in the original 1981 Broadway production of "Dreamgirls", and made a cameo in its 2006 film adaptation. Danny Glover, who plays Uncle Russell, co-starred in the film version as Marty Madison.
